Romance

My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary last week. I think it might be the "diamond" anniversary. I am lucky enough to be married to a man who realizes what is truly romantic for a triathlon addicted wife: not diamonds, but Carbon!
I'm so psyched. And scared. I have no clue how to ride these things. I will test them out tomorrow. I hope I don't get blown off the road by a log truck.

We did have a nice weekend getaway that was actually very romantic in the old-fashion sense. We hiked Mt. Katahdin in on Saturday (a 10 mile hike, round trip, up Maine's biggest mountain) and stayed at a beautiful Inn Sat night. It was wonderful. We hiked up Katahdin a few times while we were dating so it was reminiscent of those early years. We had a blast.
(as you can see, I have no clue how to get these photos loaded in the order I want them to appear. Any suggestions? )
On a training note: things are starting to pick up again as I prepare for Worlds in November. I took a solid week off after Timberman. I needed it. Mentally and physically. I had a mediocre week the week after that. We had our weekend away and big hike which left me quite sore for a day but I have been able to fit in a nice long brick since that time. Tomorrow will be another great training day. I have several hours to myself since my littlest is now in preschool a few times/week. (sad sad thing for Mommy....good thing I have my training to distract me).
cheers~

That is romantic! Good for you guys for getting away to celebrate your 10th. And whoa you will be fast with those new wheels. I am still bummed I cannot watch you rock at Lobsterman.

Always load the ones you want to show first, last. Hope that makes sense.

Your wheels are gorgeous, much better than diamonds!!!

Awesome wheels! I got a new bike for mothers day after the kids turned 1 so I can relate to the need to not wear you jewelry but ride it!
